Why indeed, really, did things turn out this way? The first six minutes of Otorimonogatari brilliantly start in medias res… and with a set up like that, it’s just making me dying to see the next episode already.
How did Nadeko fall to such a state… and by framing the rest of the episode with such a disturbing context, it really gives the rest of the episode an extremely ominous feel. Something not helped when Oshino Ougi, with her disturbing eyes and all, appears in the episode too. Scary. Heck, even the OP is… cute but very ominous. It feels like a very very negative/scary version of the original Ren’ai Circulation. I’m pretty impressed with their approach here, even if it creeps the fuck out of me.
